The challenge here was in locating the house to optimise the plot to maximise the space for the gardens without culling the mature trees present  on the site.

It was also important to provide the security required in the City without resorting to metal bars in the windows.

A double layer of outer walls was constructed with the inner layer in glass block. The large double height windows allow opening to the garden and the inner courtyard garden.  The large double height poolside terrace is covered. A glass bridge links the master ensuite to the other bedrooms on the first floor level.
